I don't have much time, so this will be quick. This week was
quite average. Nothing too exciting happened.
On Tuesday i went on an exchange with Elder Leishman. He is
from Alpine and we went to high school together. Also we live in the same
apartment now, so that is crazy. We never would have guessed while we were
sitting in class together junior year that we would one day living together in
the mission field and proselyting together. Fun stuff. Also on that exchange i
saw the REAL ghetto for the first time. I realize not only how sheltered i was
before my mission, but how sheltered I have been my whole mission too. Mom, you
must be praying wayy hard for my safety. haha
There was other exciting thing that happened this week.
While we were biking into our area a less active lady named Sis. Wilcox pulled
up to a red light right next to us. (The same less active lady i talked about
last week that has the boyfriend who had a stroke). She rolled down her window
and told us her dogs were missing and she wanted help finding them. My
companion and I said a quick prayer to find the dogs, and we went looking.
After going down the streets in the area we didnt see any dogs, so we went and
told her we had no luck. Then after going out and knocking on some doors for 30
minutes, all the sudden we look up and see the two mission dogs running at us.
I thought to myself, "Oh snap.. That is a direct answer to prayer."
we took the dogs back home to Sister Wilcox and basically felt like heroes for
the rest of the day.
Like i have said before, being a missionary is the coolest.
Things like that happen so you can bless other people.
Go look for small opportunities to serve people around you.
It doesnt have to be big. Small things are still meaningful. :) That is what we
have been inviting the ward here to do.
Love you all.

PS. Here is a picture of me, Elder Gray, and Elder White.
Funny how that works.
