March 25th email " "Church, Austin Collie, Oh yeah,"

What a lovely week.
We found ways to keep ourselves busy and fill our days. Being busy is the greatest feeling as a missionary. We were able to get a lot done and work well with our investigators. Especially Alvin, we had great progress with Alvin this week.
He came to a baptism with us on Saturday and he really felt the spirit there. The talks on baptism and the Holy ghost were amazing, and it was really good for him to see how we do baptisms in our church. Alvin also came to church yesterday. It was so amazing finally getting him there. It was the last step he needed to take so he could continue to progress. He came, and during sacrament meeting he really had a cool experience. At the Sacramento was passed, he wrote something on a piece of paper that Elder Kahne and I peeked at. It said, "During the Sacrament I prayed and asked if this is the true church..... It is..." When we saw that Elder Kahne and I were so excited. We knew that after he came to church he would be prepared to accept a date to be baptized. So we have an appointment with him tommorow and we are going to try to extend a baptism date to him again. Please pray for us that we will accept the date and prepare to be baptized!
Jenae is getting baptized this saturday. We are super excited for her, and the ward is really excited for the baptism. There hasn't been a baptism in this ward in a long time so they are ready to do all they can to help us out. It is great having that kind of support from the ward.
So yesterday there was a youth fireside and AUSTIN COLLIE was the speaker. It was amazing. Basically all my wildest dreams came true in that moment as i sat and listened and stared at him. After watching him through BYU and the NFL, and playing as him on Madden 2011 on the Xbox, i met him in real life. He is probably the coolest guy ever. Austin Collie is amazing. He actually gave a really amazing talk for the youth as well. He is a great speaker.
So yeah, it was a great week. Fun Fact.. for anyone that remembers Kara Fox, my Pre Calc teacher in high school, just moved into my ward here. Pretty crazy. She is super chill.
Shout out to David Bennett for getting his call this week. Go shred Milwaukee with Elder John Lee. I love you, Brother!
Anyways, I love you all.
Have a blessed week!
XOXO

Elder Black :)
