This week was another week with a lot of rain. It's good
because we are really lacking water here. We had 2 fasts this week, and I am
grateful for all of you that helped us in that fast. We know that Heavenly
Father will bless us, like he already has. He blessed us with our investigator
Alvin who is doing really well.
We have taught him and helped him in his genealogy work
which he has been doing for 9 years. He was about to give up on it, but we
introduced him to Family Search and our family history specialist. He had a
really cool experience at the family history center where he found names he had
been looking for the whole time he has been doing the work, and he knew that it
was God setting that up. He also came on a Temple tour with us on Saturday where
we go to the Sacramento Temple and a senior couple gives a tour of the grounds
and explains why we have temples. They also gave a small tour of the church
building right there on temple hill. I know that Alvin felt the spirit, and we
are really looking forward to teaching him again this week. He is really
progressing and I am excited to see him grow in the Gospel.
Folsom is a great place to be a missionary. There are
amazing members here, and the support we get is amazing. One of the members in
our ward lives at the highest point of the Sacramento county. We had dinner
there this week and the view from there is amazing. Everyone will have to see
it one day. I hope you all have a great week. Love you all!
